A curated, human-made resource curriculum

Draw your own comics,
one page at a time.

A sustainable, mostly-free curriculum built from resources other artists actually recommend — tuned for a busy beginner with 1–3 hours a week whose goal is loose, expressive, stylized comics, not photorealism.

The short version

You do not need to finish Drawabox or the Solo Art Curriculum — both are built to produce generalist realism artists over a year or more of near-daily work. Take Drawabox’s Lessons 0–2 for spatial fundamentals, then deliberately pivot toward cartooning: Loomis, Proko, the Etherington Brothers, and Scott McCloud on comics craft.

At 1–3 hrs a week, this is a multi-year hobby, not a bootcamp. Adopt Drawabox’s own 50% rule from day one, stay on paper through character design, and add an iPad only once you can build a character from imagination.
